You.com just got a new look…dark mode is now live! 😎

You.com dark mode is here!
Hey You,
We’re happy to announce that the beta version of dark mode 😎, one of our most requested features, is now live on You.com!
We’re always looking for ways to improve you.com, so please don’t hesitate to give us your feedback and highlight 🔦 any parts of the site we’ve missed for dark mode. You can message us directly at [email protected], or better yet, join our Slack workspace of more than 2,000 other YOUsers to share your ideas and suggestions.
New You.com improvements
This week, we made many improvements. Other new features include a new UI for search filters and the addition of region filters 🌎🌍🌏and recency ⏰filters.

Elsewhere, we added new app categories for recipes🧁 and how-to 🛠 apps, which now can be searched alongside our existing app categories like shopping, learning, developer, social, and more.
Speaking of recipes, the new entrants in that search category include Bon Appétit, NYT Cooking, Food & Wine, Once Upon a Chef, Simply Recipes, All Recipes, Food Network, Kitchn, Serious Eats, and MyRecipes. You can click “read more” to open each recipe in a side panel to scan the ingredients list and instructions, like these cupcakes.

And you can do the same by clicking “open side panel” for the how-to and review apps. Perhaps you want to know how to build a table, or maybe you want to know the best headphones to buy. We’ve got you covered.

Increase productivity
Our goal is to help you search less and do and learn more faster.
Our developer users will be pleased to know that we also improved the Stack Overflow search experience by deploying new AI systems to provide faster and more relevant results, like this query for nginx 403 forbidden django.
And site-wide, we continued to improve speed 💫, shaving off another 38KB zipped of JS from our releases, meaning faster load times, particularly the time to see the content.
Happy searching! 🔍
