Abel Lim is a Senior Research Engineer at You.com, where he co-leads the AI Search Ecosystem team. He specializes in agentic search and long-horizon agents, most notably leading the development of the ARI DeepResearch Agent and the You.com Research API — initiatives that respectively achieved a 76% win rate over OpenAI's DeepResearch and secured the #1 rank on the DeepSearchQA benchmark with a record 83.67% accuracy.
Before joining You.com, Abel spent years researching and building Machine Learning systems at scale. As an ML Engineer at Zoom, he focused on the deployment and fine-tuning of language models for enterprise question-answering systems. His earlier work at ViSenze spanned 2D Object Detection and Knowledge Graphs, building on the foundations he established at the National University of Singapore. There, he earned his Bachelor of Computing (Honours with Highest Distinction) and conducted undergraduate research at the Clinical Data Analytics Lab on word2vec-inspired knowledge graph representation techniques.
