Welcoming Saahil Jain as Next You.com CTO

Richard Socher

You.com Co-Founder & CEO

Today, Saahil Jain becomes You.com CTO.

Saahil was one of our very first hires, joining us in 2020 right after we incorporated. Over the past five years, he's grown from Founding Engineer to Senior Engineering Manager to Head of AI, and has been at the center of every critical technical decision we've made. His energy, his love of the team, and his builder's instinct have been constants through every stage of this company's growth, from seed to Series C and unicorn status.

What excites me most about Saahil leading us forward is his clarity of vision. He deeply understands where AI is headed and the pivotal role You.com plays in how AI connects to the information economy. As LLMs and AI agents become the primary way people and businesses interact with information, the need for world-class search infrastructure and search APIs has never been greater.

"I joined You.com because of Richard’s vision, and my belief that search is one of the most important infrastructure layers for AI. Over the last few years, we've built the leading team in this space. I couldn't be more excited to take You.com to the next level." — Saahil Jain, CTO

I also want to take a moment to recognize Bryan McCann, my co-founder and CTO since day one. Bryan is a long-time friend and collaborator, and our relationship goes back over a decade doing AI research before You.com even existed. We're grateful for everything he's contributed, and we wish him well in his next chapter. Bryan moves into an advisory role and remains on our board.

Nobody knows Saahil better than Bryan, and here's what he had to say:

"Saahil has been my right hand ever since he joined. He's been the true technical co-architect of everything we've built over the last five years. There's no one I'd trust more to take You.com's technology into its next chapter." — Bryan McCann

Please join us in welcoming Saahil to his new role. We couldn't be more excited for what's ahead.

— Richard
